Locals get to grips with tyre safety
A community tyre safety day organised by General Tire Performance Partner Tyretrax Ltd hosted a free tyre checking service and advice stand at Tesco, Croydon Road, Beckenham this September.
The consumer safety event saw Tyretrax Ltd check over 71 cars, advising on tread depth, age and overall tyre condition to shoppers who took advantage of the free tyre checking service.

Keeping local residents safer on the roads is at the forefront of our business, and we wanted to get out into the community to highlight how easy it is to check tyres, what to look out for and how to maintain tyres - safely. From the tyres checked, we saw a number that required immediate attention, with some vehicles having tyres that were running close to, or even over the legal limit of 1.6mm. This shows how important it is to regularly check tyres to ensure they are safe and legal, especially considering how unreliable the British weather can be!
